For the past two months I've been busy volunteering my time to the middle school drama program. It's something that I've done since my Junior year of high school, and have continued to do since graduating in '03. I love it, and don't ever plan on giving it up.
So today (or yesterday, now.) marked the one-week countdown. In one week from today...well, yesterday...Peter Pan will have it's opening night.
Tommorow the company that's setting up the flying system will be comming in to do just that...set up the system that allows Peter and pals to fly about the auditorium. I'm going to be there tommorow to learn about how the system works, as I'm going to be the one to 'fly' the boy who plays John Darling around the stage. I can't wait to learn, but I'm a bit nervous about it.
Other then learning how the fly system works, we're also going to be doing some touch-ups on the set. Now that it's finished I'm going to be bringing my camera in to snap a few shots of it. So far it's the biggest one we've had to play with yet, and we all love and hate it. Being the biggest means that it's also one of the hardest to move around (espically for that last scene change in act three. What a doozie that one is!)...but it's we've all just put so much work into it we can't help but love it.
And well...for now that's it. Hope to be posting some decent shots of our most awesome set soon.
